SSAB and Cargotec take their partnership to the next level

SSAB and Cargotec are set to introduce SSAB Zero™, a recycled steel with no fossil carbon emissions, to the cargo and freight transport industry, further strengthening their collaboration focused on sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions. This partnership demonstrates the joint efforts of both companies to achieve their goals of reducing their carbon footprint.

Cargotec plans to gradually introduce the use of SSAB Zero steel in its products this year. This move emphasises the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and reflects its aim to offer its customers a more sustainable option. With the growing demand for zero-emission steel, the introduction of SSAB Zero will increase the potential to offer customers more steel options.

Thomas Hörnfeldt, Head of Sustainable Business at SSAB, said they are delighted that Cargotec is partnering with SSAB Zero. Hörnfeldt said that both companies look forward to continuing their joint efforts to reduce their carbon footprint in the value chain. "Zero emission steel is increasingly in demand as a solution to support sustainability efforts. The introduction of SSAB Zero to customers this year will enhance the company's ability to offer more steel options to its customers."

This partnership represents an example of companies aiming to make progress in the field of sustainability. By offering environmentally friendly and innovative solutions, SSAB and Cargotec demonstrate their commitment to building a sustainable future towards reducing their carbon footprint. This development aims to create a wider impact in the field of sustainability and environmental protection by setting an example for other industry players and collaborations.
