The rapid increase in plate imports in December is thought to be due to increased supply concerns and aggressive import contracts following the flood event at POSCO in September last year.
Despite the relative decrease in demand, significant increases were recorded in the number of imported goods due to the concern of a gap in domestic demand.
However, given the imports and costs in January, sales of South Korean manufacturers are expected to be difficult.
