There are regional differences in rebar prices in various regions of Türkiye. According to SteelRadar.com's assessment, rebar prices in Istanbul are set at 24,000 TL, while prices in Izmir and Karabük remain stable at 23,400 TL and 23,600 TL, respectively. In Payas, the price is set at 24,400 TL.
In Izmir, producer prices are announced at $583, while Tosyalı's rebar price is fixed at 24,150₺. Wire rod prices are set at $600. İÇDAŞ's 12-32 mm rebar price remains at $610, while discounts are heard at the sales stage.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Trade's General Directorate of Imports published the final declaration report of the anti-dumping investigation launched in October 2023 on hot rolled coils from China, India, Japan and Russia. In the report, it was stated that imports from these countries were dumped and dumping margins were determined. The application of antidumping margins aims to increase market competitiveness by protecting domestic producers from the losses of dumped imports. However, it may lead to cost increases for importers and overall price increases. Although HRC producers are concerned about this situation, rebar prices have so far remained unchanged.
However, Çolakoğlu Metalurji did not announce prices today due to the uncertainty and the expectation of higher raw material prices. While it remains to be seen how the market will react to these developments, the market was generally calm.
