Rapidly increasing raw material prices in the Turkish iron and steel market caused an increase in factory prices.
İçdaş A.Ş., one of Turkey's leading steel producers. It increased the prices of rebar and wire rod by $10/ton and announced the list prices as follows.

Scrap prices increased by 9 percent in the last week, rising from $390/ton to $425/ton. Scrap prices of producers affiliated with the Aliağa ship dismantling facility in Izmir increased by 4 percent in the last week, from an average of $375/ton to $390/ton.
While the increase in figures increased the scrap supply, it caused ship breaking prices to drop to an average of $387/ton with a 1 percent depreciation in the last two days.
The lower level of supply despite the increase in demand in the market makes the rebar price increase stronger. Following İçdaş, iron and steel factories in the Marmara region increased their prices by $10/ton, while spot prices in the region increased by 400 TL.
