Paragon Steel is expanding its steel supply capacity in the San Fernando Valley

U.S.-based steel supplier Paragon Steel has decided to expand its operations in the San Fernando Valley, one of the key manufacturing and logistics hubs in the Los Angeles area.

Paragon Steel is expanding its steel supply capacity in the San Fernando Valley

The company aims to provide stronger supply and processing support for industrial and commercial projects in the valley’s prominent industrial corridors, particularly in **Chatsworth**.

A significant portion of ongoing projects in the San Fernando Valley consists of expansions, renovations, and tenant improvements carried out while production and storage operations continue. This necessitates construction processes to progress simultaneously with existing operations. **Paragon Steel** seeks to ease contractors’ time pressures by providing flexible delivery planning and site-ready materials for such locations.

The company focuses on new industrial building construction, modernization of existing facilities and warehouses, installation of mezzanines and platforms, and renovation projects required for equipment upgrades or regulatory compliance. By coordinating directly with project managers and field teams, Paragon Steel ensures steel is delivered in dimensions and configurations suitable for installation, thereby reducing on-site workload and accelerating assembly processes.

**Jim Stavis**, President and CEO of Paragon Steel, emphasized that many facilities operating in the valley cannot tolerate prolonged downtime. He stated that the company’s priority is to establish a supply model aligned with contractors’ schedules, accommodating access restrictions, and enabling progress with minimal disruption.

Paragon Steel’s product portfolio includes structural steel profiles, plates, and a variety of metal products. With in-house processing capabilities covering cutting, drilling, and basic fabrication, materials can be delivered largely ready for installation. This approach is particularly beneficial for projects with limited space or tight timelines, improving crew efficiency.

Delivery planning is a key component of the company’s expansion strategy. Paragon Steel works closely with contractors to plan truck routes, unloading points, and delivery schedules that align with facility operations and environmental conditions. Projects requiring early morning, evening, or weekend work can have delivery schedules adapted accordingly.

The company also coordinates with local manufacturers operating in the valley. For projects requiring assembly in workshops, material shipments are organized in a sequence that matches the production flow, ensuring alignment between workshop schedules and on-site installation timelines.

Paragon Steel’s expansion in the San Fernando Valley is seen as a step that complements its service network across Los Angeles. By combining local knowledge of industrial parks, commercial zones, and logistics corridors with product diversity and processing capacity, the company aims to be a reliable steel supply partner for both new investments and ongoing facility improvements in the valley.
