In the previous week, Nucor had set its HRC base price at $1,105/st for all producing mills and $1,155/st for the CSI facility. With the latest update, the company has increased prices by $10/st at both its producing mills and the CSI facility.
In its announcement, Nucor stated that the HRC Consumer Spot Price (CSP) will continue to be updated every Monday and that the published prices will remain effective until the next weekly announcement. The company also noted that its pricing methodology is based on both quantitative and qualitative market data.
Meanwhile, Nucor confirmed that lead times for spot orders will continue to be offered within a range of three to five weeks in order to support customers’ planning processes. The company further stated that published surcharges will apply to all spot transactions.
Following the latest increase, Nucor’s HRC base price has risen to $1,115 per short ton, while the base price at the California Steel Industries (CSI) facility now stands at $1,165/st.
