Norsk Hydro reported that the Paragominas bauxite mine has regained its strength and resumed production.

Norsk Hydro supplies energy for Paragominas bauxite mine

The Alunorte alumina refinery has reduced its production capacity by 50-70% due to the interruption of the bauxite supply from the Paragominas mine.

Norsk Hydro is currently investigating the cause of the accident with local authorities and initially determined that the accident was caused by the theft of transmission tower components.
