Nippon Steel, the leading stainless steel manufacturer in Japan, has revealed a price increase for nickel-based cold-rolled stainless steel sheets. The hike amounts to 5,000 yen per ton, representing a rise of approximately 1%. This adjustment applies to the June contract and marks the fifth consecutive monthly increase in price.
Furthermore, the cost of chrome-based products has also seen a surge. NSSC raised the price by 10,000 yen per ton, reflecting a 3% increase, as a result of elevated raw material expenses.
