At the general assembly held at the Haliç Congress Center, Mustafa Gültepe—who entered the election as the sole candidate—received all valid votes cast and was re-elected as president for another four-year term.
Within the scope of the congress, the TİM “Export Champions Award Ceremony” was also held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The program was attended by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, as well as numerous representatives from the business community.
“Our second-term goal is to place Türkiye among the top 10 exporting countries”
Thanking delegates after the election results were announced, Mustafa Gültepe stated that the export community has acted in unity and solidarity despite challenging economic conditions.
He noted that during his first four-year term, both goods and services exports increased every year, and that the projects implemented helped strengthen the structural transformation of the export ecosystem. He emphasized that the new term will accelerate efforts aimed at placing Türkiye among the world’s top 10 exporting countries.
Focus on value-added exports
Gültepe stated that in the new term, simply increasing export volume would not be sufficient, and that priority would be given to high-tech production, R&D, innovation, design, branding, and twin green and digital transformation processes.
He also said they aim to bring together all stakeholders in the sector through an annual National Export Week, and that they will contribute—together with civil society organizations—to the development of economic policies that enhance competitiveness. He added that efforts will also continue to establish a new congress center to represent TİM and exporters.
Gültepe concluded by stating that the spirit of unity and solidarity within the export community will continue in the new term, expressing confidence that the next four years will be productive and successful for Türkiye’s exports.
