Iran’s Ministry of Health shared the toll of the attacks it said were carried out by the US in recent days.
Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said in a statement on his social media account that he provided information on the deaths and injuries resulting from attacks targeting various regions of Iran between August 30 and September 2.
According to Kermanpour’s statement, 18 people were killed and 142 people were injured in the attacks.
Women and children among those killed
Iranian Ministry of Health spokesperson Kermanpour stated that of the 18 people who lost their lives, two were women and one was a child.
Among the 142 injured, 61 were women, according to the statement.
It was noted that the figures announced cover the attacks carried out between August 30 and September 2.
The military tensions between the US and Iran, which have escalated again in recent days, have raised concerns over not only further casualties in the region but also the risk of new clashes. While the US military has stated that it targeted various military and strategic sites in Iran during its recent operations, the Iranian side says the attacks have resulted in civilian casualties.
