Malaysia-based Lion Industries Corp. Bhd. Banting is carrying out maintenance and renovation work at the hot rolled coil (HRC) plant in Selangor. This facility, which has an annual production capacity of 3.2 million tons of HRC, is planned to start production in December this year, while full production will begin in February 2022.
Meanwhile, Lion Industries is also working on modifications at Pasir Gudang steelworks, whose main products are billets, steel bars and sections. It is targeted to go into production in January or February next year.
