Latest on EU pipe quotas...China and some countries used full capacity

Although there was a slow utilisation of EU quotas, certain countries used some pipe quotas at full capacity on a product basis.

China used 7,971 tonnes of pipe (other welded) quota, 97,140 tonnes of hollow sections quota and 14,743 tonnes of pipe (wide welded) quota. No other country utilised the pipe quota at 50% capacity.

Macedonia used 30.4% of the hollow sections quota, Turkey used 33.99% of the pipe (other seams) quota, the United Kingdom used 19.79% of the hollow sections quota, 17.53% of the pipe (other seams) quota and 11.01% of the pipe (wide seam) quota, Switzerland used 6.53% of the pipe (other seam) quota and 1.21% of the hollow sections quota, while Taiwan used 14.74% of the pipe (other seam) quota.

After pipe, the next most utilised product was sheet metal. China used 126,603 tonnes of 4B metallic coated sheet quota and India used 77,600 tonnes of organic coated sheet quota. South Korea and Iran were the countries that have not utilised their quotas for sheet metal yet.
