KARDEMİR will establish a 27.3 MW solar power plant in Van

Kardemir Çelik Sanayi Anonim Şirketi (KARDEMİR) announced that it will establish the KRD Aşit Solar Power Plant (SPP) with an installed power of 27.3 MWe in Tuşba district of Van, with a total investment of 490 million liras.

40,450 panels of 675 W will be installed on an area of approximately 257 thousand square meters for the solar power plant that will be established to operate by the Denizli-based iron and steel producer company. It is estimated that the power plant planned to be established will produce an average of more than 49 million kWh of electricity annually. The generated electricity will be given to distribution lines through the VAN380 TM connection point.
