According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's galvanized sheet shipments decreased by 2.9% to 654,175 tons in June this year compared to the previous month. On an annual basis, shipments decreased by 7.9%. While 78.7% of shipments were directed to the domestic market, the remaining 21.3% was sent to export markets.
Japan’s galvanized sheet production decreased by 2.6% on a monthly basis and 5.9 % on an annual basis in June of this year. The production amount was 649,064 tons. This decrease provides important clues about production trends in the industry.
