According to the statistics of the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's cold rolled sheet and strip shipments in August amounted to approximately 388,000 tons with a decrease of 9% compared to the previous month; and 9.3% compared to the previous year.
About 51% of these were sent to the domestic market and the rest to export markets.
During the same period, Japan's cold rolled sheet and strip production amounted to approximately 396,000 tons, up 11.8% month on month and down 21% year on year.
