Ratan Tata, India's leader businessman, died at the age of 86. In the official statement made by Tata Group, it was stated that Tata's philanthropy and contributions to the development of society touched the lives of millions of people.

Ratan Tata assumed the chairmanship of Tata Group in 1991 and became the pioneer of India's economic reforms during this period. While helping the country's economy to open up to the outside world, he also contributed to the growth of the Tata Group.
