Husteel will build a plant in Texas, USA, where it will produce welded pipes. It has been stated that an investment of approximately $122 million has been made for the facility, which is planned to start operating in 2025.
A six-roll straightener, three-head hydrostatic test stand and other equipment will be provided by American engineering group Fives. In the newly established factory, gas pipes with a diameter of 60-114 mm will be produced.
It will also be Husteel's first factory in the USA.
Husteel delivered 1.2 million tons of pipes to the market in 2022, making it the second largest pipe producer in South Korea. It has been announced that the primary goal of the company is to produce 3 million tons of pipes per year.
