Southern European heavy plate prices were recorded to have increased by EUR5/mt to EUR770/mt ex-Italy this week. Sources indicated that heavy plate was traded at EUR760-780/mt ex-Italy.
Some sources, on the other hand, remained cautious about the slowdown in the market. At the end of last week, heavy plate prices in Northwest Europe were reported EUR10/mt lower on the week, reaching EUR830/mt ex-Italy.
German heavy plate offers were reported to be in the range of EUR 810-850/mt. Northwest European company sources assessed prices at €800-850/mt ex-Italy, while Central European suppliers reported prices of €800/mt.
