According to the information compiled by steelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Turkey's CRC imports in September 2023 decreased by 12.24% compared to the same month of the previous year, falling from 79,921 tons to 70,160 tons. It decreased by 29.85% compared to the previous mont.
18.13% increase in imports
When we look at the total import figure, the import figure, which was 578,375 tons in the January-September period of 2022, increased by 18.13% to 683,223 tons in the same period of this year.
In the 9-month period of 2022, the highest import was in July with 97,246 tons, while the lowest import was in May with 43,131 tons.

Highest imports are in August
In 2023, the highest import was recorded in August with 100,099 tons, while the lowest import was recorded in February with 58,918 tons.
CRC exports, which were 32,579 tons in September 2022, increased by 7.01% to 34,862 tons in the same month of this year. It decreased by 13.01% compared to the previous month.
28.08% decrease in the 9 months of 2023
When we look at the total export figure, Turkey's cold rolled exports, which were 378,427 tons in the January-September period of 2022, decreased by 28.08% to 272,265 tons in the same period of 2023.
In the January-September period of 2022, the highest export was seen in January with 87,464 tons, while the lowest export was in May with 30,360 tons. In the same period of 2023, the highest export was in August with 176,602 tons, and the lowest export was in January with 65,949 tons.
These changes in Turkey's CRC import and export reflect the development of the sector together with local and international economic factors.
