The upward trend continues in the European HRC market.
This week, HRC prices changed in Germany and Italy, while prices remained stable in Spain.
In Germany, HRC was trading at 750 euros last week. According to this week's data, prices have increased by 15 euros to 765 euros.
It is seen that HRC prices, which is 755 euros in Italy, has decreased to 750 euros. In Italy, 2-3mm HRC increased by 25 euros and reached to 730 euros this week.
HRC prices, announced as 780 euros in Spain, have not changed since last week.
The reason for the increase in prices this week is known to be limited availability and restocking.
Considering that there is no improvement in demand, some people in the market think that these prices are not sustainable.
At the beginning of the year, it was seen that HRC prices in Europe recovered due to the replenishment of stocks and the decrease in HRC supply. In the current situation, it is thought that the reasons such as the lack of improvement in demand and the inability to activation blast furnace capacities in Europe will lead to the end of price increases.
