What are the latest situation in the EU steel quotas of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia in this week?
According to SteelRadar's research from the official institutions of the EU in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia, the current status of EU quotas has been determined.
Serbia takes an active role in HRC and CRC market
The EU's quota for Serbia HRC (hot rolled coil) was announced as 234.643/t, with the transfer from the last quarter of last year. Before the end of the first quarter of this year, 87,129/t was used, while the quota of 147,514/t remained.
The EU's quota for the Serbian CRC (cold rolled coil) was announced as 79.345/t. The remaining quota amount in the last weeks of the first quarter of the year was 64,889/t.
Bosnia-Herzegovina's rebar quotas are filling slow
Bosnia-Herzegovina was announced to have a quota of 59,614/t with the quotas transferred from the last period of last year. So far, 12,415/t has been used, while 47,199/t quota capacity remains.
Only one product group in Macedonia
It was announced as 63,057/t with quotas transferred to Macedonia from the last quarter of 2022 for hollow profiles. So far, 11,127/t has been used, while the remaining quota is 51,930/t.
