Vietnamese steelmaker Formosa Ha Tinh has increased its hot roll prices to $59/tonne per month for April 2023 shipments.
After the revision, hot roll prices (SAE1006, skin pass) are valued at Ho Chi Minh City CIF at $699/ton, while non-skin pass rolls are valued at $694/ton CIF.
An increase in imported hot roll bids and globally supportive developments have led Southeast Asian producers to move to increase their bids this month.
Current imported hot roll offers:
China: Chinese manufacturers are offering hot rolls (SAE1006) from the $660/ton CFR Vietnam, an increase of $20/ton m-o-m compared to the $640/ton CFR a month ago.
