In September this year, US slab imports increased by 95% m-o-m and 117% y-o-y to around 403,000 tons.
Imports from Brazil totaled around 298,000 tons, from Mexico 81,000 tons and from Canada around 23,000 tons.
The value of imports in this period amounted to approximately US$ 257 million.
