US coal exports increased in July

US coal exports increased by 400,000 tons in July 2023, according to US Department of Commerce data. Thermal coal was 2.7 million tons, while coke saw an increase of 100,000 tons.

In July, coal shipments to India increased by 500,000 tons to 1.5 million tons, shipments to the EU decreased by 200,000 tons to 1.3 million tons, and shipments to Brazil decreased by 200,000 tons to 500,000 tons.
