Unions came together in Erdemir

Turkish Metal Vice President Yusuf Ziya Odabaş expressed their satisfaction with the visits of the German IG Metal Union and expressed his hope that such trainings will be increased among the unions organized in the metal industry in two different countries and wished the training program to be completed successfully for both parties. Odabaş talked about Türk Metal and its activities in his speech.

German IG Metal Union participated in a presentation titled “Strategies regarding climate change and its effects on steel production” prepared by Erdemir management on the second day of the program. After the presentation, the participants were given a tour of the working areas of the Erdemir and informed about the production of the factory. Finally, the group came together with the trade union representatives working at Ereğli Demir Çelik, and discussed the topics of "Changes in the iron and steel industry for the future", "Collective bargaining on a sectoral basis and unions in Turkey" and "Future-oriented strategies of the union regarding trade unions and workers' rights".
