UK steelmakers want to ban Russian steel imports from third countries

British steelmakers urged the government to impose a sanction to prevent steel imports from third countries from Russia.

In March, Britain imposed a 35% import tariff on Russian semi-finished products and banned imports of rolled products from Russia within a month. However, Russia's steel is still processed in third countries, especially in Turkey, and then imported to England.
