According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's iron ore imports in June increased by 1.7% year-on-year, rising from 1,108,400 tons to 1,127,020 tons. Compared to the previous month, May, imports increased by approximately 0.3%.
In the January-June period, Türkiye's total iron ore imports increased by 32.6% year-on-year, rising from 4,809,817 tons to 6,378,587 tons.
Brazil Maintained Its Top Position
Brazil ranked first in Türkiye's iron ore imports in June. Imports from the country were recorded at 597,192 tons. Brazil was followed by Norway with 337,801 tons and the Russian Federation with 191,908 tons.
In the same month, Türkiye imported 109 tons of iron ore from Romania and 10 tons from China.
