According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports increased to 334,854 tons in April, up from 228,328 tons in the same month of the previous year. On a monthly basis, imports also increased compared to 309,519 tons recorded in March.
In the January–April period, total HRC imports increased by 8.14%, reaching 1.141 million tons, compared to 1.055 million tons in the corresponding period of the previous year.
In April, Russia, China, and Malaysia were Turkey's top three HRC suppliers. Imports from Russia amounted to 67,768 tons, while China led with 108,144 tons. Imports from Malaysia totaled 55,741 tons, followed by Taiwan with 43,695 tons and Egypt with 23,636 tons, making them among the other key suppliers.
