Accordingly, Turkiye's exports increased by 0.3% y-o-y to 22.7 billion USD in September. Imports, on the other hand, decreased by 14.1% y-o-y to 27.6 billion dollars. In September, the foreign trade deficit decreased by 48.1% y-o-y to $4.99 billion.

At September's foreign trade figures announced by the Turkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM) at the Uludağ Exporters' Associations, Minister Bolat said, "Our exports increased by 0.3 percent y-o-y in September to 22 billion 670 million dollars. We have reached the highest September exports in the history of our republic."

Minister Bolat, Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) Uludag Exporters' Associations held by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) at the meeting where foreign trade figures for September were announced, "In September, our exports increased by 0.3 percent annually to 22 billion 670 million dollars. We reached the highest September exports in the history of the Republic."

Stating that there is a very serious recession in terms of global trade, Bolat said, "There is even a decline in terms of developed countries. We also faced a very severe earthquake disaster, which had negative effects on both production in terms of growth and export figures in terms of foreign trade. Despite all these, our macroeconomic indicators and export performance show the resilience and resistance in our economy as of the first 9 months of this year. We are also very pleased to see this."

Referring to the foreign trade figures for September, Minister Bolat continued his words as follows:

"In September, our exports increased by 0.3 per cent y-o-y to 22 billion 670 million dollars. We reached the highest September exports in the history of the Republic. We congratulate you. In July, our export figure was again the highest in the history of the Republic. In August, it was again the highest figure in the history of the Republic. In this sense, we really showed a good performance in terms of exports. In July, it was 20.3 billion dollars, in August we increased to 21.6 billion dollars. In September, we reached 22.7 billion dollars. Look, our exports have been on a continuously rising course for 3 months. This is an important success. Despite the world conjuncture, we are very pleased with this despite the negative effects of some natural disasters in Turkiye. When we look at the 9-month period between January-September, our exports totalled 187 billion 464 million dollars. It is almost the same as last year's level. It is a head-to-head figure."

Bolat said that they have compensated the loss of exports in the last 7 months after the Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquakes in February.

Stating that the last 12-month exports increased by 0.4 percent to 253 billion 534 million dollars, Bolat said, "I would like to express here that we have a loss of 6 billion dollars in exports in 7 months during the earthquake process. If there was no earthquake disaster, we would actually be talking about an export figure of 6 billion dollars more in 9 months as of today."
