Tofaş signs new vehicle production agreement with Stellantis

According to the company’s statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the new light commercial vehicle model, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units, will be manufactured in Türkiye, including semi-knocked down vehicles for export under Stellantis brands Fiat, Opel, Citroen, and Peugeot.

Following the investment decision announced on April 18, negotiations between the parties concluded with an agreement. Accordingly, Tofaş obtained the right to produce and distribute the “K9” light commercial vehicle and its “Combi” versions for Stellantis brands on a multi-energy platform. The agreement also defines the sales conditions of the produced vehicles and spare parts.

The statement emphasized that the project will be realized with an investment of up to EUR 256 million and production is planned to start in the third quarter of 2026. With an annual capacity of 150,000 units, the total output is expected to reach around 660,000 vehicles by the final quarter of 2034. Approximately 80% of this production will be intended for the Turkish market.
