The results of the first four of the permanent housing tenders, which will reach a total of 400 billion TL, have been announced. An explicit procedure that allows competition and transparency in tenders was not preferred.
The government, announcing that it will build 270 thousand permanent houses in 1 year, will make tenders with a total size of 400 billion liras from an average of 1 million 500 thousand liras.
All of the first 4 tenders notified to the GCC by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure were carried out using the 21b Negotiation procedure. The government carried out 4 tenders among the contractors it invited privately by using the opportunities provided by this procedure.
The cost of a TOKİ residence, excluding the land price, is 1 million 400 thousand TL
The total contract price for a total of 1797 houses, 20 shops and 1 mosque to be built in Kahta, Ishaliye, Kilis and Nurdağı was realized as 2 billion 889 million TL. Accordingly, excluding the land price, the average construction cost of each house to be built by the state institution TOKI exceeded 1 million 400 thousand TL.
Increase instead of discount in tender
While discounting was provided over the approximate cost usually calculated in the tenders carried out by the public, it was noted that the contract price exceeded the approximate cost in two of these 4 tenders.
Granted 7 months
The government had announced that permanent housing would be completed in one year in all its statements. In the contracts made with the contractors, it was seen that this period was decreased to 7 months. Accordingly, some of the permanent residences will be completed in October.
