According to the steel quotas announced by the EU for other welded pipes, other seamless tubes and large welded tubes at the end of the first quarter of 2023;
The announced other seamless tube quota for China was recorded as 36,143/t. While 36,046/t of this was used, 97/t remained from the quota amount. The quota of 7.601/t for other welded pipes has been completed.
Turkey followed China in the remaining quotas. Along with the transferred quota of 3.356/t, a quota of 39.209/t was opened to Turkey for other welded pipes. While 36,505/t of the opened quota was used, 2,704/t capacity remained.
For large welded tube, with the quota transferred of 698/t, a quota of 14,757/t was opened to Turkey, of which 10,913/t was used and 3.844/t remained.
Final status of quotas determined for UK, Tavian, Switzerland and USA
With the quota of 9,144/t transferred in the UK, 13,304/t remained from the 14,919/t quota for large welded tube, of which 1.615/t was used; Along with the transferred quota of 14,375/t for other welded pipe, 5.571/t of the 25,324/t opened quota was used and 19.753/t remained.
In Taiwan, with the other welded pipe quota of 9,734/t transferred, 4,195/t was used out of the 18,217/t quota opened, while 14,022/t remained.
With the quota of other welded pipes transferred for Switzerland of 49.170/t, of the total capacity of 94,439/t, 16,851/t was used, while 77,588/t remained.
For the USA, a capacity of 15,034/t was opened, with a quota of 7,100/t other seamless tubes transferred. While 3.417/t of this capacity was used, 11,617/t remained.
