Tata Steel will reduce its rolling capacity!

Indian metallurgical group Tata Steel has announced that it will cease some of its rolling capacity at its metallurgical plant between December 3 and 22. The company said renovations are planned during this period, but the downtime was also due to the unfavorable environment in the UK market.

Flat product demand in England, which was quite active in the first half of the year, started to decline as of summer. The decrease in automobile production in the country caused a decrease in demand.

The downturn in the UK steel market continues due to the transport crisis. Steel product stocks in some ports have tripled since the beginning of this year, as trucks are scarce.

They also do not have time to export rolled products. Some ports have suspended the unloading of ships due to the lack of free space for docking.

According to British experts, excess stocks are slowly starting to dissolve, but it will take months for them to return to normal.
