Taiwan's leading steel manufacturers raise prices for November

In response to rising raw material expenses, rising electricity prices, and current market conditions, Taiwan's three leading steel manufacturers have announced new prices for November.

Taiwan's leading steel manufacturers raise prices for November

Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corporation, a major producer of construction steel products in Taiwan, has increased the base price of its H-beam products by NTD 500/ton (approximately USD 15.50) for the first half of November. This increase follows a NTD 400/ton (approximately USD 12.40) increase in mid-October. Tung Ho Steel had kept its H-beam prices stable from March to the second half of October.

Taiwan's leading stainless steel manufacturer Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) has increased its 304 grade cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel products by NTD 3,000/ton (approximately USD 93) for November. The price of 430 grade stainless steel and the additional charges for 316L products remained unchanged. Yusco’s price hike aims to offset the effects of rising raw material costs and higher energy costs. Yusco’s November price hike comes after two months of stable prices.

Similarly, Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. increased the price of its 304 grade cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel products by NTD 3,000/ton (approximately USD 93). This increase was made after considering factors such as rising material costs, rising electricity costs, and fluctuations in exchange rates.
