Taiwan’s billet imports rise in April

According to statistics from Taiwan Customs Taiwan’s billet imports totaled 480,000 tons in April, rising by 59.93% month on month. Taiwan imported a total of 1.41 million tons of billet in the first fourth months of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 7%.

Among them, the imports from Russia accounted for the largest proportion in April, a total of approximately 200,000 tons, followed by Japan's 80,000 tons and Indonesia's around 60,000 tons.
