Yieh United Steel Corp (Yusco), one of Taiwan's leading stainless steel producers, announced price increases for January next year.
Among them, the 304 cold rolled and hot rolled local price is increased by NT$2,500/ton, the 430 cold rolled and hot rolled local price is increased by NT$1,500/ton, and the 316L surcharge will be negotiated separately.
In terms of export prices, the price of 304 increased by US$100/ton, the price of 430 increased by US$50-80/tonne, and the 316L surcharge was obtained through individual bargaining methods.
Yusco said raw material prices have risen sharply, especially molybdenum, an important alloying element of 316L, which has recently hit a 14-year high, increasing production costs. Combined with the improving international market and increased demand for subsequent replenishment, Yusco has decided to raise its prices this time.
