Stainless steel cold rolled coil prices remained stable in the Asian market last week, showing a static market before the New Year holiday.
While the Chinese market will recover once epidemic control measures are eased, it will be predictable until the epidemic stabilizes. Offers from China's private steel mills rose last week, but downstream manufacturers said that market demand is still slow, with a limited price increase.
The LME nickel price decreased significantly to US$28,775/ton on January 5, but the fluctuating nickel price had little impact on stainless steel prices.
