European mills are increasing their prices by around €100/ton ($109) and contract prices for hot and cold rolled coil for October delivery in September have increased accordingly.
In Italy and other European countries, most of the market is on holiday. Order intake by Italian mills improved in July and the first days of August.
Currently, the average asking prices for stainless CRC for October delivery in Italy are around €2,300-2,350/t and about €150/t lower for HRC. According to sources, edged CRC is trading at around €2,200/t ex-warehouse and HRC at around €2,000-2,050/t ex-warehouse.
