Saudi Arabia has signed an agreement with China to build the largest sheet metal plant. Plans have been made between Baowu steel group and Aramco and Aramco announced that the production capacity of the factory will amount to 1.5 million tonnes on an annual basis. The plant is rumoured to be the largest sheet metal plant in the region.
The steel sector has always been a major foreign exchange earner for the Middle East with export targets. Considering the increase in steel production in Iran and Saudi Arabia's large investments in this field and the data of Iran's export products for 2022, this issue is clear.
