Another memorandum of understanding has been signed between Salzgitter and BSH (Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte), Europe's largest home appliance manufacturer, which has been supplying green steel from Salzgitter since 2021. Green steel, which will be produced through the new hydrogen-based production route SALCOS – Salzgitter Low CO2 Steelmaking and has a 95 percent lower CO2 footprint in production, contributes to the decarbonization strategy of both companies. BSH aims to reduce carbon emissions in production in line with its sustainability targets for 2030.
