SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited) officials stated that there are two or three years left to start the production of coking coal. It was also announced that the stages of assigning a mine operator and a mine developer to the Tasra block, which belongs to the company and which is planned to produce coking coal, have come to an end.
Currently SAIL; Mozambique imports coking coal from the USA and Australia.
