Russia’s stainless steel imports grow in July

In July of this year, Russia imported about 44,000 tons of stainless steel, up 4.6% from the previous month and 39% from the same month a year earlier.

The imports of cold-rolled stainless steel increased by 14%, hot-rolled stainless steel dropped by 11%, welded pipes decreased by 33%, seamless pipes fell by 17%, wire declined by 8.3%, and long products rose by 18%.

Russia’s stainless steel imports from China accounted for the largest proportion at 54%.
