According to statistics released by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (SpetsStal Association), Russia’s stainless steel imports amounted to approximately 463,000 tons in 2021, growing by 20.8% compared to the previous year.
Among them, the imports of cold-rolled stainless steel, hot-rolled stainless steel, stainless steel wire had a year-on-year increase of 33.6%, 4.2%, and 16.1%, respectively. However, the imports of stainless steel welded pipes and seamless pipes dropped by 17.1% and 6.7% year on year, respectively.
