Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is organizing a trade mission involving over 25 Qatari companies to enhance economic cooperation between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The delegation will hold B2B meetings, site visits, and business matching events in Dubai on November 19-20, 2024. The iron and steel sector is the primary focus of this mission. Qatari companies in this industry aim to develop long-term collaborations with the UAE.
Khalid Abdullah Al-Mana, Vice President of QDB, articulated that the objective is to position Qatari iron and steel companies as reliable partners within the UAE market. This delegation represents a crucial step toward strengthening the commercial ties between Qatar and the UAE. It is anticipated that the bilateral business discussions and collaborative opportunities will develop into long-term partnerships. Furthermore, avenues for collaboration will be explored in sectors such as construction, plastics, the paper industry, food, and beverages.
The participation of innovative firms specializing in artificial intelligence and sports technologies aims to further deepen economic relations. Between 2021 and 2023, the trade volume between the two nations increased by 19%, underscoring the significance of this integration.
