Taiwan-based CSC cuts steel product prices by up to $65/tonne for June 2023
Decreasing global steel prices due to low demand caused flat steel prices to decrease as well.
Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC) cut prices of steel products for June 2023 deliveries. Hot rolled coil, hot rolled sheet and cold rolled coil prices were cut by $65/ton, while electro galvanised coil prices were cut by $32/ton. Accordingly, current Hrc prices are trading at $550/ton.
India increases pig iron prices
Tata Metaliks, operating in India, increased its basic pig iron prices by $6/ton.
Tata Metaliks increased its basic pig iron prices by $6/ton (INR 500/ton) due to high demand and supply shortages. Exw-Kharagpur offers for Si 1.0-1.5% material were quoted at $543/ton.
