Olympic Steel, Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based metals service center, acquired stainless steel importer, manufacturer and machining center Shaw Stainless & Alloy, with undisclosed pricing and terms.
Shaw will be merged with Specialty Metals, Olympic Steel's specialty metals division, led by President Andy Markowitz.
According to Olympic Steel, the acquisition of Shaw will help Olympic Steel grow in metal-intensive end-use products by expanding Olympic Steel's specialty metal footprint and products and finished products to customers.
Georgia-based Shaw distributes stainless steel sheets, tubing, tubing, bars and angles. It is also a manufacturer and distributor of stainless steel poles and water treatment systems.
