Number of wage earners decreased in November

The number of wage earners in industry, construction and trade-services sectors decreased by 0.2 percent in November 2023 compared to the previous month and decreased to 15 million 106 thousand 556 persons. The decrease in one month was 200 thousand 476 persons.

Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In November 2023, the number of paid employees decreased by 0.5 percent in the industrial sector, increased by 0.2 percent in the construction sector and remained unchanged in the trade-service sector.

The number of wage earners increased by 1.8 per cent in November compared to the same month of the previous year. Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In November 2023, the number of paid employees decreased by 1.3 percent in the industrial sector, increased by 10.2 percent in the construction sector and increased by 2.1 percent in the trade-services sector.
