Zaporizhstal has announced its first-quarter production figures

Metinvest Group’s Ukraine-based steel producer Zaporizhstal has announced its production results for March 2026 and the first quarter of the year.

According to the data announced by the company operating under Metinvest Group, in March pig iron production reached 316.4 thousand tons, crude steel production totaled 298.2 thousand tons, and shipments of rolled finished products amounted to 254.6 thousand tons.

In the first quarter covering the January–March period, production figures reached higher levels overall. Total pig iron output stood at 819.3 thousand tons, while crude steel production came in at 758.2 thousand tons. During the same period, shipments of rolled products were reported at 660.6 thousand tons.

Zaporizhstal produced 3.6 million tons of pig iron, 3.2 million tons of crude steel, and shipped 2.8 million tons of rolled products in 2025.

The company’s production data indicates that the Ukrainian steel sector has maintained operational continuity despite challenging market conditions.
