Nucor to build new galvanizing line at California rolling mill

Nucor is building a new galvanizing line at California Steel Industries' (CSI) rolling mill in California. It is stated that when completed, it will add 400,000 tons of capacity per year. Completion is expected within 2.5 years after Nucor obtains license approval for the $370 million project.

Upon completion of the galvanizing line, CSI's total galvanizing capacity will be 1.2 million steel sheets per year.

Cleveland-Cliffs has increased its minimum price for hot rolled coil to $750 per ton.
