Nippon Steel hikes stainless steel prices for Dec'21

Japan's largest stainless steel producer, Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp. has increased prices of 300 series stainless CR coils and plates by JPY 25,000/t ($220/t) and 400 series coils by JPY 15,000/t ($132/t). Increasing alloy surcharges and base metal prices have led to a hike in production costs. Additionally, the costs of logistics, ferro alloys and auxiliary materials have increased.
